Leading Sustainable Performance (LSP)

A proven model for developing Conscious, Skilful, Purposeful leadership capability, fully aligned to business needs, ensuring effective deployment of individual learning to deliver real business benefit.

Overview

Business need – The success of any programme is positioning it within the business context.  Managers need to recognise that any development activity is directly connected to their day-to-day role. The LSP programme is designed to develop leadership capability driven by strategic goals, organisational values, competencies and change initiatives in the organisation.

Measures of Success – Utilising a 2 x 2 x 2 format identified measures of success – what people will do differently as a result of the programme and how these will be reviewed are agreed. Participants identify two personal development goals, two people development goals and two business development goals which provide a context for their personal leadership learning. A fully-tailored 360 degree questionnaire, which serves as a benchmark for individuals attending the programme is also developed.

Practical focus – Emphasis is on participants being able to perform more effectively in their role. Each programme session focuses on aspects of personal or organisational change that the participants will apply and lead back in the workplace.

Builds a support network – Change requires support and challenge.  The programme builds-in cross functional peer ‘Action Groups’ to challenge, support and provide feedback on colleagues’ progress and actions.  Change also requires the involvement of direct line management.  Managers are fully engaged in agreeing their respective team members’ programme goals and in reviewing progress throughout the programme.

Progress reviews – Performance improvement does not come about with a single event. The design of the LSP programme incorporates structured follow-up events after both modules to provide support and sustain momentum.

Pragmatic delivery style – the Prescience team have many years’ experience in designing and delivering programmes for large and medium sized multinational companies.  They have established their credibility using a delivery style which combines challenge and support across a range of organisational and international cultures.
