Tailored individual support for senior and middle-managers or those undergoing role transition.

Overview

At any given time in the experienced middle and senior manager’s career, particularly at times of change and transition, the individual can gain increased insight concerning their individual impact or realise great benefit from addressing particular challenges with an impartial third party.

The Prescience coaching process is aimed at being constructively challenging and supportive, and whilst any intervention is tailored to the individual’s specific needs, in principle our approach incorporates the following key elements.

Activity Outline

Pre-phase:

  • Agreement of and ‘contracting’ to overall approach and targeted aims with client and sponsors

Phased coaching meetings covering:

  • Identification and agreement to initial areas for discussion / review and targeted outcomes and success criteria
  • Performance / Behaviour Gap analysis including critical incidents; exploration of causal and linked factors
  • Identification of personal change actions to develop and improve performance for identified priority areas
  • Completion of appropriate profile / 360 questionnaires and accompanying debriefs
  • Review of progress versus identified actions:
    • Successes; benefits for self and others and embedding positive change
    • Obstacles experienced and further exploration of causal factors including ‘self limiters’ and attitudinal / values impact
    • Identification of ‘first step’ actions to enable progress versus more challenging issues / changes
  • Identification of how participants will sustain performance improvements / behaviour changes
